The front door entrance to the Mor Fetrus w Mor Fawlos Assyrian Orthodox Church in Adiyaman built in 1885.  The celebration of the day of St. Peter & Paul takes place in this Church where Assyrians from around Turkey come to participate in the celebrations in the Church.  Only a very small number of Assyrians still reside in Adiyaman, most of them have moved to Istanbul, Syria, Lebanon and the Diaspora.  Currently, a few shamoshe (deacons) are living in the Church, where they conduct Mass, receive guests and take care of the Church.
